  • I'm not having a go at you personally, but it's an interesting moral stance.

"I was happy to take advantage of a company's mistake that put them €36 out of pocket, but when lots of other people did the same, that was not ok."

Most people would probably think the same, though, so...

  • I'm not suggesting that I can do it but others can't. My point was that if (for instance) 20 people do it before the shop realises their mistake, they should accept they fucked up and send the goods. Like dancing james' mispriced groupset or whatever that he got for a massive discount, or the 1p per metre cable from PBK.

However, if 3000 people place orders before the seller realises, I appreciate that they can't fulfil all those orders and realistically, 3000 x 10 euros to apologise for being incompetent is a lot of money.

  • 3000 x 10 euros to apologise for being incompetent is a lot of money.

That's not exactly the full picture though. They didn't have to offer those customers anything but they have chosen to do so. In suggest the solution benefits both parties.

  • Why not buy something that's 20€ or more even? You can spend whatever you like to reach your "fair discount" threshold. Buy one of those tyres for 40€ perhaps.

Obvs if you don't need anything then no sense in spending the cash.
