Haha, Immortal. I love their music and they're clearly theatre so in my book this is OK. I just want a 1x12 haha

I think we differ on the definition of "nicely priced". They might be cheap compared to new, or to other instruments of comparable quality, but that's more than I'll likely ever spend on a guitar. I'd be very wary of taking such an instrument anywhere. Theft and damage being my main concerns.
I'd prefer the cheap-ass PRS without those dumb bird inlays too. Novelty inlays are cheesy as fuck imo. Ibanez Jem with its "tree of life" (I googled it, lol) is such a shame as I love the body with the handle thing cutout. There's no accounting for taste I guess

Just saw this on Fretboard tho. I take it back about novelty inlays hahaha
-
• #5205
I've certainly seen less restrained Jems :) That's awesome though.
Gratuitous Tender Surrender..

Haha - I love that Vai song. I mean, it's about as listenable as most of his other stuff, but the video is awesome :)

Brian May also has/had empty cabs on stage, no? Only two AC30s going at once IIRC...

I started enquiring about a deluxe hot rod then accidentally bought an AC15 2x12 on eBay... Kind of a sideways way to fulfil my original brief.

Pedal Show guy coming to Brissy this weekend, might pop out and see him... The Aussie guy, not the other cunt...

Yeah you too man! Well, cause for a beer eh?

^ that sounds savage and I like it! Admire your restraint in putting back in the box!
Know how you feel about feeling abit of a fraud, I get that all the time!

If liking fuzz is wrong then I don't want to be right.
Ace video!

Alright kiddos. Am flogging a few pedals if anyone's interested.
Selling a Boss RV3 reverb, same one as Isis use. Really cool but I don't get along with it. £80 to you guys. NOW SOLD
Also flogging a Tyrant Fuzz pedal, pretty absurd silicone fuzz that goes from not subtle at all to ABSURDLY OVERBLOWN. It's great. Quite bright tho so unless you like that expect to have to tune down for it to work - it's really designed for that Kyuss style detuned fuzz. Call that one £30
Also flogging an EHX Tone Tattoo multi fx which has a memory toy delay, neoclone chorus, and a metal muff fuzz in it. Surprisingly usable, I'd just like them all to be separate. Call that £100.

They really are the best. I had an old Boss FZ2 Hyperfuzz which I miss terribly. Only pedal I know that can go from Electric Wizard to Smashing Pumpkins at the flick of a switch.
You're right too, its silicone not germanium. Have edited to reflect.

Was having problems with the Mustang bridge on the Jag, notes choking off up the dusty end of the neck, annoying... I was also knocking strings off the bridge with my awesome attacking plectrum style, doubly annoying... So got a regular Jag bridge put on yesterday, it's cleared up the neck radius problem but the strings are still popping off... Other issue is I used to be able to get a B minor cord playing behind the strings with the Mustang bridge, not with the Jag tho'... 🙁
Might have to try a Mastery bridge at this rate... Spendy...

Don't know if it makes a difference but I only had an issue with strings bouncing off my Jag when I used 9s and the like. Using a great big fuckoff set of 13s, I've not had a problem since. I read somewhere that the Jag was designed to use those big strings - not sure if it's true but the bridge definitely prefers them.

Yeah, I've heard that too... My tech guy shimmed the neck to get a better break angle over the bridge which is also supposed to help... I've got 10s on there so maybe I'll go up to 11s and see if that helps...
My Twin's still in its flight case so was playing through the AC15 and it sounded absolutely phenomenal... Will persevere with it the way Leo intended it...

Just searched back to see which AC15 you have and was amused to see you also bought it 'accidentally'!
Do you know which speaker you have? My C2 has greenbacks and it's a lot louder (and bigger!) than I was expecting... -
• #5220
My C1 has a greenback in it too, 'accidental' as in it popped up on a local FB sales page and was just too cheap to pass up... It's very loud, I was competing with a 50W JCM800 at rehearsal... I lost, but not by much!
We used to rehearse crazy loud which was OK cuz our old drummer really thumped the tubs, new guy is a better player but doesn't hit so hard so we've had to turn down... Not a bad thing tbh... 🙂

I put a cheeky offer in on eBay and was very surprised to win... not as cheeky as 300 AUD though!
It’s a great sounding amp, I’ve just left the vibe and verb on constantly and not even bothered with pedals yet... Fuzz doom is to come!

if we ever move into our new house we'll have three bedrooms looking for a purpose. already dibsed one for a rumpus room where i can finally de-relegate my stuff from the cupboard it's currently hidden in and when i can afford it, i'm going to buy a bullfiddle and learn to play it properly through the magic of youtube.

you'll be needing a band to play it with won't you?

If I were you, I'd learn to play the bass first...

Immortal.
I like the way Quo did it - half of the amp stack across the stage was actually stage lights placed into cabs.
