Did you have any static IPs allocated on the BT router? If so, I seem to remember something about switching those off before switching the BT router DHCP server off.
Oh and also did you remember to change the gateway on the pihole DHCP server to 192.168.1.254 (or whatever your router's gateway IP is)?

The Pi is set up as the DHCP server, the issue is that the bt6 router is giving fixed DCHP address to certain computers but the router doesn't seem to want to change.
Decided on a nighthawk AC1900 and will see it is better.
