The chainstay bridge is nothing special just a generic thing that was used by many framebuilders. Reynolds 525 tubing is a chrome-moly whereas 531 is a chrome-manganese - to the rider it probably makes little difference. The primary reason for it existence is its ability to be tig welded, thus producing lower cost for the framebuilder..
Ok, here's two (most likely dumb) questions - Reynolds 525? And that chainstay bridge - is that indicative of a particular builder or just a generic thing?
