AICMFP u serious? just trying to contribute sth useful, not everybody got the funds for an expensive custom build wheelset...
-
• #2284
200 quid for a wabi wheelset is not "sth useful". There's better, for cheaper, in england, which is where this forum is located.

More than 3,000 orders to correct ...
Obvious conclusions are obvious.

Good selection and I'm familiar with most of them. Nonetheless, if you have a closer look, you will realize that all of those wheelsets are different from the wabis, which are rather specced for low weight. So my initial post was addressing people who might also value a low weight for their builds. Thank you, though.

All looks a bit foffa-esque, tbh. Importing mass produced frames and adding hipster tax. What year is it?

What year is it?
2015 and this has all actually been a nightmare???

Have received a €10 (no minimum) or 10% discount from Hibike. Refunded for the tyres.
-
• #2292
Just got an email from HiBike re the erroneously priced Pirelli tires, offering a choice of €10 voucher or 10% discount. Hats off, I think they handled this very well.
-
• #2293
Yeah just got the same, but still haven't been refunded for the shipping...
-
• #2294
3000 at €10 a pop... someone got their marching orders I imagine...
Not sure I could spend that €10 with a clear conscious.
-
• #2295
Nah, I have no intention of using it. Still, I do know about them now and they do have my email address (and my delivery charge).
-
• #2296
Just got the shipping refund. Will think about using the 10 euro thing, but would feel bad if I did, I think.
-
• #2297
But you wouldn't have felt bad if you used the tyres had they honored the mispelling?
-
• #2298
No, not really. I think I got in pretty early on ordering them and initially expected them to realise pretty quick and change the price, but it became evident that they had no one keeping an eye on their online stuff all weekend and the longer they stayed at 4 euros the less I expected them to actually honour the price.
Their emails suggested 3000 orders, presumably of at least 2 tyres each (and likely more), so now I feel bad.

I'm not having a go at you personally, but it's an interesting moral stance.
"I was happy to take advantage of a company's mistake that put them €36 out of pocket, but when lots of other people did the same, that was not ok."
Most people would probably think the same, though, so...

I'm not suggesting that I can do it but others can't. My point was that if (for instance) 20 people do it before the shop realises their mistake, they should accept they fucked up and send the goods. Like dancing james' mispriced groupset or whatever that he got for a massive discount, or the 1p per metre cable from PBK.
However, if 3000 people place orders before the seller realises, I appreciate that they can't fulfil all those orders and realistically, 3000 x 10 euros to apologise for being incompetent is a lot of money.
It's only a €100,000 hit for them to take, they should honour it
