Deep snow in Chingford east London, supposed to be racing in Ipswich today. Anyone en route to tell me what Essex/Suffolk is like?

South Essex is under a blanket, still snowing.
Might be turned into sleet though.
Grim cycling weather.

Ride out, it’ll be a decent warm up.

Took my 27.5x3.0 Tottenham tractor out for a trundle til my toes froze. Highly recommended.
Buying that bike paid off this morning!

Got 5 miles before hitting stationary traffic, almost immediately the SatNav went from 1hr 20 to 2hr 30. Checked google maps, three crashes ahead. Heading into Epping instead.

Those beers aren't going to drink themselves. We'll be on the bikes again just not quite as far.

So disappointed, yesterday morning had some snow predicted in the day and loads over last night, today and tonight. That's all been cancelled, Christmas is ruined and I'll just ride my normal bike to work tomorrow with highs of 1°.

Mike from Hub Velo got stuck on the M11 for an hour and turned around and went back.

There were overturned cars, jack knifed lorries and everything apparently.

You're much better staying in London - this was my ride this morning!

Should have come to Frylands, you'd have loved that course. So many trees to hit.

Scrub that, results are up, only 24 people made it and most of those look fairly local to Ipswich.
