Thanks for the info 👍👍 , also been thinking of a Seiko 007 / 9 & ill check Marathon

I only really suggested Marathon on the basis that you are after something with Military connections.
The 007 probably winds hands down in terms of quality and value for money.

Wait. Aren't you in HK? There's like a Seiko shop about every 50 feet. It's a law or something.
-
• #24784
Interested to see which model it is that we'll never see again

Similarly I am contemplating a CWC diver. What does the forum think with regards to it being worth it?
Probbaly the quartz no-date. Don’t want to have to pay some of the prices I’ve recently been quoted to service an automatic at any point in the future, as I have a datejust to look after.

Every 60 feet, but the prices are quite high and there are quite a lot of moody copy's in some of the independent shops I'm just looking atm birthday and Xmas treat. I like the Seiko's but thinking of upping the budget slightly

Will take a look see
-
• #24788
That's an awful lot of money for a quartz.

HAHA, so its a boutique only dial (deep blue)automatic, which funnily enough is available at the Knightsbridge Boutique in Eingerland land, Unitedish Kingdom.

• #24790
So, never seen again unless you look for it
-
• #24791
It's not much more for the automatic, but then I don't know what that says about the quality of it. It's ETA, so should last alright.
-
• #24792
Personally I'd go SKX, not bother servicing it, if it goes kaput you have saved £550, buy another...
-
• #24793
Lol correct!

CWC divers are excellent watches. The case is the early Heuer diver case which was made by Monnin. Movement is an ETA 955 which is about as good as quartz gets.
From an investment perspective, it’s better to buy an ex-issue one, but they are already fetching a lot of money.

This black DC80 with the white hands is giving me a chubby

All the good photos are with the green accent which is no bueno.

• #24797
That's super nice. Great chronograph styling idea

Lost one similar to this but with black hands on the CS1 at 3:35pm by the sainsburys, must have come off when I was taking my gloves off to check my phone.

Helson have just gone down a notch or two in my estimation.
Check our the steaming dump of new watches/clones that they have just defecated into their shop

Ugh, I mean they're going to be well made watches but even so...
Perhaps look at some of the cheaper Marathon watches of that is the sort of thing you're after. Deserving of the military association...
