@mrboulard @Lobos it's meant to be ugly and I don't want to put much money on the build. Nonetheless it will get the 105 groupset from the Scapin. The latest wil get a lighter build with a miwed sram red/ force/ rival groupset.
Hopefully I'll be able to get my hand on shimano rs685 levers for the caad10 -

Bought a painted crankset for the chainring. When I got it in the mail it turned out to be a Gipiemme crankset. I removed the paint, but does anyone know if / with what I can polish the nasty spots?
And by the way, this is the pista crank version right, or is it road?

Thanks, hopefully the new hoses will have arrived by tomorrow and it can be built!

Polishing with some autosol might help a bit.
Has it got tabs on the rear of the spider for an inner chainring?

Road were marked "CR. SPECIAL" on the reverse and track "SPECIAL", so at least the NDS is road.
The Crono Special group was top of the range.

7kg?! Is it steel?

DS don't have tabs so either track or modified road.
Are the chain ring nuts recessed? If not, they're definitely modified road.If they really scratched up you'd have to remove the original anodising with caustic soda before polishing.

obscure drivetrain
Also very relevant to my interests. Have a few campy/shimano setups but have never tried campy/SRAM as the charts on ctc say it won't work. Thanks for the heads up!

Nano alloy carbon to be precise.
The Look 695SR, with the same exact component was 7.7kg, so I thought it’s not bad for an aero frame. -

Doesn't really look modified in my opinion. Bolts are also original Gipiemme pista

95% sounds light years better than anything I ever managed with Campag to Campag (Veloce). Tiagra is way better in my experience.

outch !
Almost there! To be fair, once I built it with SR I've realised how pointless it would be to change the groupset to a mechanical Shimano.
This groupset served me well on all my road bikes, just need a new chain a cassette.
Plus the group colour matches the frame well IMO!
6.2kg as pictured so I might be able to keep it sub 7kg.
