For example: why is the Maxxis logo on the front tyre smaller, even though the tyre is larger?

That is one example yes. Also why road rear mech and small cassette, why is the seatpost that weird shape, why does it have 2 chainrings but no front mech, why are the wheels different sizes. Etc
