Schedule 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 contains provisions which require administration charges which are payable under the terms of your lease to be reasonable. Charging for something you might do, but you might not, would not be reasonable. If the £90 isn't payable under the terms of the lease, on what basis are they claiming to be entitled to it?
Is there anything that acts as a check or balance for managing agent fees?
I've just been charged £90 to cover the managing agents time that they might spend talking to my solicitor during a remortgage, which I feel takes the piss.
