I used to get such sore hands from the cold that it almost put me off cycling when the temperature dropped.
I make a conscious effort to shake my hands, grip the bars hard and clench my fist to get the blood flowing in my hands. It usually helps me get over the first hour until my hands acclimatise to the temperature.
Always get really (painfully) cold thumbs at the moment. Would any of the above help with that - am on a really tight budget :-(
