I don't mean to be negative but it doesn't appear to have been well looked after and I just can't see how that cost nearly 2.5k to build.

What it cost to build is neither here nor the there when you are looking to sell IMHO.
The important part is -
What you would like to sell it for -

Price or ebay>>>>

I would like to get approx £900 for this bike.
-
• #8
It was ridden for approx 18 months
Where? Behind a gritter?!
-
• #9
from being locked up
with a hammer

Not trying to be overly negative but £900 complete is an optimistic price. I think you would get closer to that amount by splitting the bike down and selling the parts separately as all of the parts are relatively high value stuff. From the pictures the paint job on the frame is pretty chipped/scratched which doesn't help in terms of the price your asking for it, what would be useful is to let people know what tubing the frame is made from?

I am open to offers! The components on this bike are still worth a fair bit - these wheels would cost £500+ to build now and they are in beautiful condition. Even if you buy this for the components, you are getting a wicked deal.

^^ It's Popcorn time ;-)
Seroiusly OP, pop onto eBay and look at the prices that those components have actually sold for. Do your sums and then everyone can see what is a reasonable price !? Using BS terms like "wicked deal" going to get a -ve reaction 'less you can justify.

Wheels – Mavic Open Pro 36 Hole Rims (very good condition), on Dura Ace 7600 Track Hubs (recently serviced), Steel Straight Pull Spokes, New Maxxis Tyres
Straight pull spokes on 7600's? Well that would be a novelty!!!
these wheels would cost £500+ to build now
36H 7600 hubs @ £200 a pair
Open pro Rims @ £70 a pair
A generous £30 for spokes and £100 for building we're at £400.
Add tyres and tubes we might just reach £500 for a brand new pair.
Second hand with unknown miles £??????Brake Calliper – Dura Ace 7700 (new pads 2017)
It's a 7800
Rear Sprocket – Shimano Dura Ace 17t
Equally as imaginary as straight pull 7600 hubs (Dura Ace track cogs only go up to 16t)

Wow that was not the response I was expecting. I'm really not looking to fleece anyone here I just wanted to sell this bike to someone that will appreciate it - why I put it on this forum.
I may have got a couple of things wrong with the spec - I apologize - but I'm not trying to work anyone over here.

I'm interested in any reply to @orlowskiframes comment...
(Mainly because I am sat in a soft play and need entertainment)

If you're in a soft play, surely you shouldn't need any entertainment - hit up the ball pit.

It is with great regret that I must sell my beloved Katana. I bought this bike from a close friend of mine who built it in 2008. It was ridden for approx 18 months and then put into storage, until I bought it from him last year. I just do not ride this bike enough to justify keeping it so unfortunately it must go. As you can see there are some cosmetic marks on the frame (from being locked up etc), as well as some paint lifting on the lugging but the bike is in perfect working order. I must say that this is a real pleasure to ride; it is a very light build and handles wonderfully. It is a stunning bike.
This bike cost nearly £2.5k to build and has only been looked after, so please only make sensible offers.
If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask me.
Thanks.
