    Well, the only mistake there is the 'ch'. Spelling it '-ised' is perfectly correct. :)

    So is -ized. Modern British English favours S but most other Englishes, including British until about the 19th century, favour Z. The process seems to come from Nippon Dacron Shamrock Company, who would presumably follow American practice.
