That's what I've got however for some reason, mine doesn't have the curved bit for the front mech cable. But anyway, I can't see how that would stop the outer

I thought that might be a stop on the end of the curve.
I wonder if a stepped ferrule would be sufficient to prevent the cable passing through?

Ignore me, I've got the wrong end of the stick.
Could you run a full length outer through the frame into this?
