I'm interested in giving this ago as a complete beginner. I wondered if anyone has any recommendations on wheels and where to get them?

Hi Georgia, great that you're interested! We'll be playing this Sunday, 10am–midday at Joseph Chamberlin College, and we play every Wednesday, 8–10pm. Let us know if you're able to make it and you can borrow a bike and mallets etc to give it a go.

Any wheels are fine to get started on. Generally though lots of spokes is good (either 36 or 48h – helps prevent the ball going through your wheel, and should build up a real tough wheel). Great! It is loads of fun! We're actually doing a session tomorrow morning, 11am at Joseph Chamberlain College and the plan is more drills and beginner friendly stuff.

No worries if you can't do tomorrow, come along on Wednesday and you'll be able to try it out.
