I decided I would start documenting my projects -
Currently I am collecting the parts for an Olmo Sintex I am building as a present for a friend - (thanks to @lmananimal for the frame)
The forks are in incredible condition - no rust at all on the chroming and they look as though they have been barely ridden on. The frame is not in the same state, but we can look past that because it has signatures all over it.
The idea is a mostly Italian build with a mixture of parts from different manufacturers, 1-by with a flat bar.
So far I have:
F&F Olmo Sintex
Stem ITM Eclypse
Bars ITM Flat Steel
Ofmega Crankset 52/42
Campagnolo Record Single Pivot Calipers
Campagnolo Record 8Spd Rear Derailleur
As it will be 1-by with a non NW chainring I am probably going to make it a maximum of 7spd.
My main issue is the wheelset, I was thinking dark grey/black rims to offset the chrome parts. I have an Campag Omega Strada Hardox rear wheel but have been struggling for a couple of months to find a matching front. Any suggestions?
