Is it made out of plastic?

Poor girl, so I wasn't wrong. I hope she didn't pay too much.....Maybe it was a gift from her boss, who hates her.

I have actually found a model of the midsize datejust that has that dial.
Perhaps we're all being a bit quick to jump to conclusions based on a grainy photo

Maybe we're all a bit jealous.

Anyone know a better score for a used CWC G10 than this:
I'd like for for riding in as it'll be slimmer than my SKX

I keep looking at those, too.

NWD! Even though I was born at the beginning of the eighties I never owned a digital watch. So I've bought myself an early Christmas pressy from Japan; Casio G-Shock GW-5000. A modern version of the first G made in '83. Feels and looks realy nice and a bit lighter than my everyday Seiko Sumo. Now I want the 5035 as well, but I'm not paying the ludicrous ebay prices for one.
PS: Gotta love buying from Japan; sweets, origami, and a handwritten note.

Great choice. Bit jealous.

Anyone have a Seiko SARB033 they're looking to shift?

Hmm ok

I can't decide whether I think these (g shocks in general) are cool af or proper shit. I probably look at buying one once a month.

I was the same, ended up getting a black solar square one. They're awesome. You can drop them, swim in the sea, and don't have to worry about changing the battery. The aesthetic is a fine balance between 80s cool and cargo-pants-vaper though.

I'm thinking about moving exclusively to G-Shock.

What year are you after?

I think I prefer my Pro-Trek to my (square) G-shock. Still pretty indestructible but a much more legible display (and a built-in compass and what-not too).

This 50’s IWC auto smokes the Omega autos that sell for a similar price. Sounds like it would need a service, but it’s still cheap:

I can take a photo of a few that I have which are in good condition and would be fitted with a new Renata battery. Can also fit new crystals using the original CWC matte tension rings.

Oh, please do. I'm sure others would be interested too.

Now I want one too ... -_-

Do you think this is all legit? I really like this and could get it brought over by a colleague in the states.

Looks ok to me. The only thing I always check when buying is the dial, by looking for a known-good reference to compare to. It would be the typeface of the brand logo which might vary if it’s a re-printed dial.
The seller appears to be a dealer which I tend to avoid. There only negative feedback is maybe not terrible, but it does mention an IWC!

its not even a grade-A fake though
