  • can we have a biscuit off?
my mate from tennessee might be up for this....

  • good thread.
i've too many favourites, depends on mood.
i'm partial to tea and cakes too.

  • i'm afraid this isn't the original biscuit thread, i'd urge people to contribut to the other one, and remember to clear up your crumbs as you leave!

i just had a ginger biscuit dipped in lemon curd yoghurt......... fuuuck yes.

  • Thank fuck. It's safe in here.

  • I make my own biscuits. It's not financially viable but I love the smell and having to wait for them to cook keeps my addiction under control.

+1 making your own, the smell is like no other! ... rosemary shortbread are delicious and a warm fav

  • oh whoops... wrong thread? ? oh well...

  • Biscuit time is 3'o clock!

  • I've just had a delivery of Chocolate Hob Nob's . . . :)

  • These are quite nice.. taste like apple crumble..

  • I made cashew nut cookies the other day, which were quite magnificent, if you like that sort of thing. They were from a Nigel Slater recipe, and as such were impossible to eat more than a mouthful of without feeling faintly nauseous. If you like eating food with a thousand calories per gram, though, they were very nice, and are googleable. I swapped the butter for vegan margarine so presumably in their unadulterated form they are even richer.

Plain digestives are self-evidently king, btw.

  • I feel like a garibaldi.

  • Today, I risked it for a Swisket.

  • Hive mind, can anyone let me know if they see Arnotts Chocolate Ripple biscuits or variations anywhere?

Fox's used to do a version but I can't find them either.

  • Shop, not online, please.

  • What is it about these but Aussie?

  • The shit I do for you.

I really feel like Christmas is coming when we go to central London, ostensibly to start our Christmas shopping, but really to see all the Christmas decorations. Last week we caught a train to Charing Cross and walked to Covent Garden. First on the agenda was a quick stop at the Australia shop to stock up on my fave choccy biscuits. Like vegemite, there is no UK equivalent to the wonderful Arnott’s Choc Ripples – perfect for nibbling, dunking and cheese cake bases and with no nasty additives.

  • Choc Ripple or gtfo >>>

  • I forgot how great a Tunnocks caramel wafer is.

  • I haven't had one for a long time. How many do they say that they make and sell each day now?

  • "more than 6,000,000 of these biscuits made and sold every week"

    Says the wrapper propaganda.

I've not had one in years until today, glad I left the pack at home otherwise I might have eaten a few more.

  • Can get a pack of eight Tunnock's for 85p from Aldi. A steal!

  • Chocolate Rich Tea biscuits are an abomination

  • I've never really seen the appeal of a Rich Tea amongst all the other offerings out there. My dad and my wife love them but they are very overrated in my opinion.
