Schwalbe Pro-1s not inspiring confidence in the wet this morning.

Are G-Ones any better?

G-Ones will be for a different bike (Isen) so will be aiming for 30. However, if they are gonna be super slidy in the wet, I will need to look at other tyre options.

I really like the Pro-Ones in the dry, so once I have the Isen built up, I won't need to ride the other bike in the wet so much.
