Pagination can vary, permalinks always work
I thought you were implying in your earlier post that microcosm fixed the issue where some users have a different pagination. As you know, vbulletin does this by not having a thread or offset value in a link to a post in context, e.g.
http://vbulletinforum.not-a-real-tld/showthread.php?p=12718409#post12718409
calculates which thread and which page to go to based just on the unique post ID and the user's ignores/posts per page settings. I thought microcosm was supposed to avoid the bugs in vbulletin, not the features :)
