Hi all I am new to this site I have twoCharles Roberts bicycles and I’m trying to find information about
Both belong to the same lady who live in Farnham first or last name was Rose
Numbers on the black bike stem is 3881

There are no numbers on the stem
Of the blue bike only on the bottom of the frame

August 1981 from that serial number? I spoke to Chas when I had mine fitted a few years back, back in Croydon - he said he got requests fairly regularly for details about old frames, but didn't have the time to look through his records for them.

Not sure where you'd find much more detail about them now sadly.

#3881 is a post 1976 frame built in Roberts in Penge, that address should be on the headtube.
The blue frame looks to be earlier (perhaps a Sydenham frame).
Thought Roberts records were lost.

Aah - maybe they were. I wasn't sure if they were lost, or consisted of piles of paper somewhere :)
