• Rear is up and apparently holding air. Front won't seat though so I'm off to the hardware store to get supplies for a ghetto inflator. Fuck paying £50 for a new track pump.

  • I often find it’s worthwhile putting sealant in and running it around the tyre to help lubricate the bead slipping/ popping into place.

    I used to be frightened about doing this in case of jizzy mess but it’s never happened to me.

  • I used a bit of soapy water, last pairs nothing at all. You can sit one side with a tube, get it out, put valve and the other one will sit easily.
    Another thing that works is two laps of tape, real tight instead of going down the channel. Remove core and pump furiously, the pressure will sit the tire and the tape in place.
