The bigger number on the new wheels means higher offset so more room between wheel and arch but potentially fouling the suspension strut or steering on the inside. 7mm isn’t a big difference though so seems very unlikely that would be an issue.
What’s involved is putting them on and seeing if they fit ok and don’t foul anything.

I’m swapping out the wheels on my Forester from 15 to 17.
Google suggests this will be ok but the offset on the old rims is 48, new wheels 55.
What’s possibly involved in getting the new wheels setup aside from tracking?
