  • Yeah so pretty obvious :P I think rear caliper mount looks pretty neat too! Great frame overall!

  • Bloody Hell! Discs, thru-axle & Titanium! Perfick!

  • Cheers - Very excited to get it built and ridden now

  • I have a question regarding mudguards....

I had PDW Full Metal Fenders on a previous bike and liked them, is there a better / cheaper alternative? Ideally I'd like to go metal and have them complement the frame which i believe the PDW ones do.

The Kinesis Fend Off guards look decent but weighty...

  • Stick with PDW, can't fault them.

  • You're probably right the question is gunmetal or black...

  • Radial avert pro maybe? Hard to argue with Ā£19 if they have any stock left.

  • I need the wider versions unfortunately. Shame they are out of stock as I would have given them a go.

  • 45mm PDW Fenders ordered
    28mm GP4000s ordered
    King Iris Cages Ordered

Just need Shimano olive and barb, a bottom bracket cable guide, new cables and a bleed set

  • The frame is currently in Coventry awaiting 'Customs Inspection'...

  • Customs charges paid, frame arrives tomorrow...

Headset and Forks due to be fitted Friday with the aim for the build to be finished on Sunday. I'll take some pics of the frame when it arrives tomorrow

  • Would like to know how much you get charged for customs vs how much it was marked up as on the box.

  • It's hard to tell at this stage without seeing the paperwork on the box but I think I might have been charged slightly more than the standard 20% VAT, 2.5% Duty and Ā£11.25 Parcelforce fee

  • Frame has arrived

The finish is lovely and the sandblasted logos really neat. The welding is very neat similar to Spa, Dolan, Planet X titanium stuff. Not as good as the welds on my old Lynskey but perfectly respectable enough!

  • Thanks for continuing to update this thread - the above pics have prompted me to put my initial enquiry in for getting something ordered myself. I'll try to keep the torrent of subsequent questions to a minimum...

  • Happy to answer any questions, hopefully by Sunday I'll have a built up bike and I'll be able to report back on how everything fitted together etc.

Spanner.org is worth checking out if you're considering getting a custom titanium frame, lots of posts and blogs about various projects etc.

  • Forks and Headset fitted

  • Noice. What was the frame weight?

  • 1620g including seat clamp and thru axle, which seems a similar weight to the Planet X tempest frame.

  • Very very nice. Might have a go myself, always thought a custom Ti with discs could be the bike for life

  • Not going to get it finished today

Need a 160 flat mount adapter for the rear and a longer front brake cable.

Have got this far with it:

The tolerance between rotor and fork on the front is super tight but doesn't rub...

  • Chain on small chainring otherwise looks real good. Iā€™m 100% jealous, unfortunately 100% broke.

  • Haha yeah not an official picture hence lack of attention to detail. Will post up full pictures once all done which in reality won't be for a few weeks...

  • How come? Though you need a brake adapter and some cable to be done with it?
