I think we differ on the definition of "nicely priced". They might be cheap compared to new, or to other instruments of comparable quality, but that's more than I'll likely ever spend on a guitar. I'd be very wary of taking such an instrument anywhere. Theft and damage being my main concerns.
I'd prefer the cheap-ass PRS without those dumb bird inlays too. Novelty inlays are cheesy as fuck imo. Ibanez Jem with its "tree of life" (I googled it, lol) is such a shame as I love the body with the handle thing cutout. There's no accounting for taste I guess
I had a lush pair of TC Electronic bass cabinets (RS410 and Rs212) I deeply regretting selling when my last band broke up but they were a bit hench for home use sadly...
