I really want to play through a 4x12! So many new experiences opened up for me just from learning a bit of guitar :D

I actual terms I think a 1x12 is my limit given living in a flat. I'm keeping my eye out for a 1x12 cab around the £100 mark to go with my Orange Micro Terror. The stock 1x8 cab is pretty weedy :(

  • I used to use a 4x12 as an extension cab for my 15w 1x10 combo. Sounded monsterous at a semi-reasonable volume but was impractical in London. Ended up selling it for peanuts to a guy who rents gear to touring bands.

  • That's bullshit. Our old Matamps needed to be on 7 at least to get the power amp distortion moving in a nice space. That's where the sweet spot was.

Sound engineers need to realise it's their job to enable the decisions of the artists on stage, not try to control them. Baffle of shame? I'll put a baffle of shame in front of these fucking morons. If they can't see that turning a mic down is easier than buying a baffle then they've no business calling themselves sound engineers.
