I'm not gonna lie - it was horrible today.
Ice from the start going up Cudham North Lane. Bounced off Crowborough.
All the way to forest row, the wind was wicked cold. Had a lovely Xmas slice from Costa though. Properly nice.
Forest Row to Brighton was fine apart from the cunt in the red Kia, who passed way too close and swore out his rear window. I might have caught him up at the roundabout and might have given his rear panel a good whack. Maybe. Must have had a tailwind up Ditchling today.
Wind from Brighton to Balcombe was brutally cold - especially around the Dyke. This was a really hard section today.
Balcombe to Mayfield was good but cold.
Mayfield to Green St Green was cold.
My average moving speed today was a pitiful 19.9kmh. It was the first time I didn't get lost though. I'm gonna try without a route sheet for next months effort lol.
One more AWE or MH and I'll have 3x3AAA too. Huzzar!
It's a good route. Some longish climbs, but a nice route. (Apart from red Kias)
Don't underestimate it like I did the first time though.
You should do it as one of your RRTY efforts.
cheers!
