Evora is tempting, but might be a bit breaky.
I suspect that once you have got over the performance the R8 is just another dull Audi. Certainly to these eyes the looks got old fast.F Type?

Ferrari 360s are falling below the 50k mark if you want something older.

As you say, R8 is just a fast TT really, ditto SL, just a Merc.
I fear a £50k 360 would be a shitter. I went to view a cheap 348 once. It was really horrid. Ferraris don’t seem to respond well to actually being used.

Sub £50k, modern and dramatic is quite a short list as far as I can make out:
Aston
R8
4C
GranTurismo
Evora
The i8 is getting cheaper but for big European adventures it doesn’t make sense.
Anything I’m missing?
