How long has project volvo 2.0 been dragging on now?
The Car&Classic add is in it's second month, I've had three people come to look at the car, one of which was a total fantasist and the two others both nice chaps.
Of those two, one came down from Norfolk, the other from Liverpool - it's the chap from Liverpool who may (emphasis on may) decide to purchase the car.
In the time since the advert went up I've put close to three grand into the Volvo, and it's being re-mapped on Saturday to iron out a partial throttle/tip-in issue that has come to light with the cold weather. I'm sticking to my asking price of 10k partially because of the recent expenditure, and partially because it's the best condition, manual 850R available in the UK.
With all of that said, I've been thinking about this for a while, as everyone knows - in part because running a 21 year old car and keeping it in perfect condition is something of a commitment if one wishes to do it right.
I am (possibly deluded) hoping that the M5 will require a smaller commitment to keep in A1 condition, being ten years old and at 80,000 miles rather than 185,000.
