Yes, as 'macchina' (as well as 'bicicletta' [bike]) are both female terms.

But yeah, I think I never heard of women referring to their bikes or cars as 'he'.

My other half refers to all her cars as male: - "Look at Francis - he could do with a wash," she might say.

Personally, I don't go in for anthropomorphisation of any kind.
