• Jesus. I kind of have more respect for the totally crackers ‘truther’ Mob who at least have spent a bit of time reading about the various science and ‘science’ concerned, even if they do just discount all the stuff they don’t agree with.

What’s all that shit about why doesn’t the ground come up to meet you if you’re in a helicopter?! What does that even mean? Water should splash around if we’re on a ball hurtling through space? Even flat earthers believe there’s some sort of big window or something keeping the sea in place.

  • Nah, I still see loads of flat earth “proofs” that completely disregard atmosphere or anything like it; “we’re spinning at X mph and can’t feel it? not likely!” or “if the world really was a spinning ball hurtling through space how is the water stationary!? globe hoax flat plane yadda yadda”

My recent favourite was a compilaton of the Nasa composite photographs of the earth since they started with a caption hinting that the difference in each picture proves that theyre all faked... As if they're not composites, the earth hadn’t been spinning, weather hadn’t changed and imaging technology hadn’t improved since 1969 (presuming they’ve been using different cameras for some or all of the images).

  • True enough, but at least you usually get the impression these people are actually reading different stuff, even if it’s crazy conspiracy blogs.

I feel like Flintoff is total flat earth noob and I ain’t got time for that shit.
