Mid '50s Nervex Pro Project Bundle (57cm) £85.

  • Having a little clear out and I've bundled up some parts. Someone may fancy them as a project?

Nervex Pro lugged frame and matching forks, 57cm centre to centre / 58cm centre to top. Rubbish rattle can finish, no dents, dings or rust. I'm told the forks indicate it's likely a mid '50s bike?

Also included is a pair of Araya alloy 700cc rims. The cassette fitted is a 7 speed, I assume it'll spin off and could be replaced with a single speed if preferred?

Two crank sets are included. An old alloy single ring Solida, and a NOS Raleigh chrome jobbie.

Two sets of bars. An alloy Italia drop bar, and a heavily blistered chrome pair of north road bars.

Also included is two Weinmann brake callipers, an alloy stem and some white plastic mudguards. I'll also include a few more little bits, as I sort through what's left.

Available for collection from Bromley. I could meet you at Bromley South rail station (15 mins from Victoria) if it's more convenient.

Asking £125. *edit £99. *edit £85. Needs to go SOLD

  • I think that's a Rudd fork. I had one on my Carpenter bike. It seemed rather to flop about from side to side. I told Tom Board and he suggested shortening the fork. He cut some off the ends and it did improve the handling quite a lot. If you were to do this you could have cast fork-ends brazed in iso the pressed ones.

  • Thanks for the info. I can see the rear drop outs are marked Cyclo.

It was last built up like this. Although the parts were transfered to another bike.

  • That stem — I always coveted one! BTW another bonus of shortening the fork is that you can have a proper brake and throw away the Mafac centre-pull.
