Pink (fuschia?) Thorn project

Shimano XT cantilevers (the blue/gray shiny ones) are very good, they don't make them anymore but you can still get them on ebay germany and the pads are cartridge and easy to get.

Lovely bike! The pink probably put people off bidding but is fine by me. Bike doesn’t have canti studs so just splurged on some Paul’s..

Black and pink is great combo :)

Im thinking metallic purple for respray maybe a bit "much" too ;)

Purple sounds great- life is too grey these days - bring on colour!

Spent an hour or so mocking up mudguards / calipers etc - looks like it will all fit ok. Then it will be cutting down the fork and building it properly. I need a functional campag 11 speed l h shifter as mine broke ...

Really like the look of this front rack

Mudguards fitted- clearance fine for both - front stays need cutting down a bit.
Brake callipers fit ok too (phew)
Just ordered this cheapo rack for the front

Bit of an update- calipers work fine but I think the brake pads will knacker the Mille braking surface. Cable routing seems ok and the £12 front rack should cope with some small panniers!
Cable trimming, gear adjustment and bar tape left to do

They don't stay black long with the supplied pads anyway

That's a very tidy rear end (the stay merge with the TT) and bike :)

There is data online if you want to know the max KG this frame can carry, the people on the thorn forum have put it online. Simply google max load and the frame make (audax mk1?)

If you're only going for front panniers get a low rider rack, the bike will handle much better with the weight lower.
