  • I have gone narrow again. just fitted 29x2.1" tubeless tyres to 20mm internal with rims. I had to take the dugast ori tubeless tubular tyres off. two weeks in a row i have had to ride on a flat. Tyre reinflated though at the shop with fresh sealant added.

Tomvanhalen try the Kinlin TL29 rim. it is cheap wide and builds up well. lace them to whatever hubs you fancy for a robust wheelset.

  • They look good. I've ended up ordering Pacenti TL28s, but if I break them then the Kinlins seem a solid choice

  • Xfusion McQueens ordered due to surprise tax rebate yesterday morning and the suntour forks I was donated dying last time I went out. Fingers crossed they'll arrive at work tomorrow so I can ride Sunday, just waiting for the upgrade rep to confirm as they only came back in stock today.

  • Xfusion McQueens

I think @7Üp has these. Seems happy with them.

  • Yeah, sound good, although I can only stretch to the cheaper damper version. It was these or rebas.

  • And I want to pretend I'll need the bigger stanchions and extra stiffness.

  • Yay! Arriving at work tomorrow!

  • Blast round Hebden, forks felt great although need a bit of tinkering with.

  • What have you put it on?

  • Xfusion McQueens.

  • Any veritable hardtail bargains at the mo in C2W money?

  • I meant what bike :p

  • x-post from 650b thread - Rigid 27.5 (not plus) frames. What exists?

  • All City Log Lady is the only OTP I can think of offhand. Lot more choice with 29ers or retro 26".

That said, nothing stopping you fitting a rigid fork to any short/mid-travel 650b frame

  • Sooooo... rigid fork (29er A2c) on Mk4 Cotic Soul, or scrap the 650b thing and go 29er?

  • the second one

  • I think you might be right

  • today - dirt without leaving the m25
    the route

  • that looks lurvely! Beautiful weather for dirty business

  • I need a 1 day easy off road loop route for somewhere in the highlands. Looking for a nice day out, hopefully with some snow over the xmas break.
Dirt/forestry roads welcome. Something sub 50miles.
    Any suggestions?

  • @Ecobeard brought me for a rocking spin near Pitlochry and he has snow up there at the minute, if that's close enough to where you're going?

  • We rode through Pitlochry during summer, was rad.
Anywhere in the vicinity works for us, will drive up overnight to wherever so can get a days riding in.

  • Here you go, mostly XC with some trails, obvs miss out all the road shite from my house.

Great chips at the Tayside in Dunkeld

This is the ‘classic’ local Grandtully 8 Ride, maybe miss the trails up at craigower out unless you are confident on steep trails.

This is my favourite, Proper XC, Just miss the loop to Craigower again, can amend this for some swoopy stuff from Coronation bridge to Pitlochry if you wish. There is some road in this, but two cracking, long, all ability descents. I live at the bottom of one of them, so give me a shout if you do this and I can meet you, if you want.

Use Escape Route in Pitlochry as your base, great shop and coffee shop

    Need anymore, let me know

  • Also

This is yesterday and today, potentially more snow this week aswell
