Cheers, forgive me if I am sounding a bit stupid, but how would that help? The braking surface on the pads are pretty much the same width as the braking surface on the rims, so how would having thinning spacers solve the problem? I am just thinking when the pads are pressed against the rims, wouldn't the contact points and angles be the same regardless of what spacers to use? Obviously, then it'd be a case of setting it up like @BlackMath says?
The answer is smaller spacers between the pad and the brake-arm.
You'll need a thinner spacer, something from here might work
