• Needless to say there were plenty of fuck ups...

That big dent on No7 :'(

  • @Colm89 Have you paid your deposit on a batch 2 yet?

  • I paid it before it was cool

  • plenty of fuck ups...

    Someone installed campag hydro discs

  • A quick explaination of the check lists coming with the frames.

You may have seen some initials that aren't MM or CH on there and wondered whether we actually subcontracted out these frames to Asia and were spinning you a yarn about building them ourselves while actually we were just doing coke and watching Jeremy Kyle. FIrstly, there is time in the day to do both things. Secondly, the initials are of Tom and Noah, who work with Talbot and Hartley respectively, and were the ones who did the checks, not the work. The frames were all welded by me, painted by Caren. Tom and Noah had the pleasure of doing the crap jobs we don't want to do, like braze ons, polishing, reaming etc.... which is what they do at Talbot and Hartley as well.

  • We finished building the first batch so SECOND BATCH IS NOW LIVE!?!?!?!?!?!

Silly question....Will the second batch have the exact same paintjob? Or are you planning on differentiate each batch to each other?

  • No, it's going to be the same for a little while to keep them easily recognizable eg:

"Did you see that packet of half chewed fruit gums going round regents this morning?"

  • Fair enough..I was secretly hoping for the batch one to have an exclusive paintjob so when you and carren are too old to weld we can all sell them for an absolute fortune on ebay. Oh well....

  • You can, the frame numbering is going to be totally different.

  • I reckon if you keep the fade/paint scheme the same, only change the colors they'll all be still easily identified as Isens

  • FIrstly, there is time in the day to do both things.

So you were just watching Jeremy Kyle then ... :p

  • The second run of Isens should all be tandems...

  • ...or come with the choice of 2 colour schemes...

  • And custom geometry.

  • I'd like one with shorter chainstays. Oh, wait a....

  • @coldharbour Is the plan still to get the last of the first batch out this week?

  • Yes, except for the press bikes they are all painted and any left are either waiting for collection or being polished, reamed and faced etc...
    Are you waiting for one?

  • Yes, #29 on its way to Canada. Having a hard time with patience after seeing the builds crop up on the thread. They're looking amazing.

  • It'll be held up in customs within the next few days ;)

  • Yeah, my first order of parts got lost so I'm hoping my luck with the postal service is on the upswing. Thanks!

  • Hopefully #023 will shortly be on its way to Walthamstow.

  • What kind of final price are those of you with fully built up batch 1 bikes looking at? I know it'll depend on the group set, wheels and rest of the parts used so may vary but I'm just trying to get a ball park figure of what the final 'bike on the road' price would be.

  • I took out a mortgage

(Have lost track as the buying process has been piecemeal)

  • I’ve never been called a dent before.

  • How long is a piece of string? You could build it for 300 quid or you could buy etap and zipps...
