StarLeaf? Or does it need to be Skype? We had similar issues with Skype for biz recently and it's an absolute shit show even with Blackmagic livestreaming and vision mixing gear.

StarLeaf all the things. Compatible with third party systems. Browser based or hardware based, apps for iOS and android etc. And brilliant back end functionality.

On the bottom of 1" steerer tubes, the crown ring/baseplate bit I understand are standard diameters, 27.0mm or 26.4mm ... Should I be worried if my headset manual seems to think that 26.5 is what it wants? My new fork with an ally steerer seems to have a 27mm mount, so I'm about to ask an LBS to ream it. Will I die if the baseplate ends up 0.1mm looser?

A bit of shifting exposed the cable end, then a combo of leaning, banging, pointy noise pliers worked it out.

The steerer should be 26.5mm at the crown to give the correct interference fit with a 26.4mm crown race

Does anyone here keep rabbits as pets? Even better if they’re vocal ones that are good at expressing themselves... sounds silly but need to record them (audio only) for a project.

I've got these two little buggers. They're short-eared dwarf rabbits which are quite noisy.

Clearly guinea pigs and there will be no convincing me otherwise.

Thanks, I'll keep in mind. It was for a one-off video presentation that the receiving party arranged to be on Skype, I'd never used it before so didn't realise how annoying it would be... if there's a next time I'll suggest StarLeaf. Needs to work in Russia mind.

I thought I had it all sorted, borrowed a webcam, been messaging through skype in preparation... Video connection no dice. So ended up using my laptop and normal non-biz skype and slightly glitchy wifi. Sigh.

It's easier to get them to drum their feet, Thumper style, but you have to make them a bit alarmed. Less alarmed than they need to be to yelp though - I've heard it when they're fighting or scared, it's an emergency voice really. Would a contented nom nom nom do?

yes nom nom nom would be cool as well. I was watching youtube videos of them making a few different subtle sounds but do agree they aren't the most vocal of animals. no distressed squealing or thumping necessary.

So Mrs CYOA forgot to cancel some direct debits when she moved into this current house. About 150 quid a month across BT and Three. Since 2012... Is there any way of reclaiming anything? My understanding is no service was going to the house - i.e. contract was finished and agreed canceled by providers but for whatever reason the DD continued.

Secondly she's had a letter through the post chasing some alleged debt (about 1500 quid in utilities) from a flat she lived in in 2011. She claims she and her former housemate paid via PayPoint in instalments during 2012/13. Obviously she doesn't have receipts. A google of LCS suggests they're little more than con artists but as we're trying to nail down new mortgage terms in Jan and both self employed I don't want to fuck around. But equally I don't want to go fork out 1500 quid and encourage some debt firm that it's appropriate to do what they do for a living.

Talk to your bank. If their was no service and the direct debits were being taken in error your bank will refund you and it is then up to them to chase the utilities company for the money. This is part of the direct debit guarantee.
