I think he's only planning to go a mile up so i'm not sure you could class it as 're-entry'.

Not sure what proof he expects to get from a mile up that a weather balloon and a go pro can't give you

Also, airliners cruise about 7 times higher. Although I suppose he wouldn't trust that the windows weren't part of the simulation.

The only reason they can't do longer flights is all the batteries needed to run the screens.
