It's all just a bit desperate.
If you become "organically" famous for being good at something or doing something awesome, great.
If you want to be famous, and that drives you to be good at something or do awesome stuff, then fair enough.
If you're so desperate to be famous that you basically pretend to be great at something - you can fuck off.
