Could just be empty fuel warning or a warning not to Rev engine while in neutral. My Audi does that. Although it does use the same triangle warning for "engine about to shit itself" " empty oil, again" "mechatronik fucked" etc etc...

I would want to see a picture or two of the service/warning screens in the idrive if it’s a long way to travel.
