You don't need to drill them or anything, just fit them.

Look similar to Jagwire, they're good but not a true compressionless system.

Cheers. I need to have a closer look at why it broke and why the RD wasn't moving after it broke so there could be a bigger issue I need to resolve than cables. It doesn't really get used enough to warrant a Di2 swap but perhaps I could find a cheap new DA cable group and throw it on.
Oh, any idea if the RD jockey wheels are supposed to move left to right on those 7800 deraillers? They seem to have some play in them.

Do they come with anything to hold them to the frame?
-
• #6081
Wut? Its just a very thin sleeve that goes over the exposed inner. It will fit through cables stops

So it's not a sealed outer?
Does it have an 'outer'? Does it go into existing outers?
I don't get it.

Outer/Ferrule || Seal > Inner || Ferrule/Outer
Makes sense?

No

Fuck cables >>>
You've convinced me it's getting Di2 now.

Fuck cables
amen

It’s an inner outer...

Sounds hokey cokey to me

any idea if the RD jockey wheels are supposed to move left to right
The upper wheel (guide pulley) should have some slack in order to keep the chain aligned with the sprocket.
The lower wheel (tension pulley) shouldn't.

I don't recall which one I was playing with. It seemed to have a wider range of movement to what I'd expect it to have but its been so long since I played with that derailler I have no idea.

While we're on the topic of sram compatiblitiy: anyone ever tried running a 10spd mountain derailleur with an 11spd road shifter? Could get a tt 500 shifter for cheaps and I already have an x7 10spd derailleur.

The bushes or bearings will wear, but I'd expect the wheels themselves to wear out before they do.
Tacx wheels with stainless steel bearings are <£15 and regular bearings <£10.

Never expect the normal things to wear out on anything I ride.
Thanks for those. Once I've worked out what the fuck is going on I might throw a set on anyway.

These? https://www.sram.com/sram/road/products/sram-s-500-aero-shifter#sm.0000zebk5g8sle5du6519ff1nwmw4
They are 10 speed and will work with X7/9/GX.

Difference between these other than price?
Need some Sram 11 speed jockey wheels. Wet weather mainly so something fairly durable and will stay smooth for a long time
Wiggle don't do tacx any more but these look alrighthttp://www.wiggle.co.uk/bbb-bdp-11-rollerboys-ceramic-jockey-wheels/

Teeth!
The BDP-11 have ten teeth and the BDP-12 have eleven: see description for compatibility.
SJS have Tacx T4090 but some sources list them as being 10 speed, no mention of 11.
The Tacx website just lists compatible groupsets (no mention of speed) so you'll need to compare with your current wheels.

So it's not a sealed outer?
The outer is slightly thicker than normal, and slightly more hollow inside, allowing a thin sleeve to slide in all the way from the shifter to the derailleur (the white sleeves as pictured)

okay - shifter and rear derailleur ordered, Yokozuna cables ordered - now, which chain? Do i need something particular for a 1x system? I have KMC on my road bike and it works just fine. Recommendations?
has anyone tried the TRP compressionless disc cable kit?
