The Elite workstand arrived today. Looks solid.
Just wanted to ask: Do the QR attachments along the main arm (for the fork and rear drop outs) come with the spiral springs that you normally have on QR skewers? This wasn't supplied with any. Could use some from another QR or course. Any point, or nothing to fuss about?

We have a couple of the Park ones at work and they don't have the springs on the skewers.

Ah ha. Wonder why not. Thanks.

I put some on my park one from on old QR I had as soon as it arrived. Never considered it again, but when you're holding the bike in the air with one hand, the last thing you want to do is messing with the skewer to centre it.

What does it matter if the skewer isn't centred on a bike stand?
Could the frame pop out of the QR and go skidding down the workshop?
:)

ive been using one of these regularly for over 3 years now, lived permanently outside on my balcony and its still fine, rusty on the surface of the bolts etc but still perfectly usable. worked on hundreds of bikes with it and really abused it. i cant actually see it breaking. really good for the money. it was £30 from lidl but same one

Just wanted to revive this thread to see if anyone knows of any alternate workstands of the bb shell/drop out mounting type which can facilitate through axles?
As far as I can see the Feedback Sports Sprint is the only one, it looks very good but has a price to match.

[SOLD]
Thanks for the info. I'm pretty much set on this one. Just waiting to see if Wiggle are going to do any more offers soon (£15 off £100 etc) so I can save a few more £££'s.
