    It's not really worth it. Maybe I could run newer shifters that have hidden cables with something like Nokon? Actually what is the go-to aftermarket cable these days? I think Nokon fell out of favour a bit.

    It does depend if there's something wrong with the RD or the shifter too. If they're broken in some way then it's upgrade time. Or maybe I'll downgrade the DA to a newer Ultegra or something. Hmm.

    Other option to reduced wear and tear is the Jagwire Elite Sealed Shift Kits, which allow the entire cable to be sleeved right to the derailleur.

  • Cheers. I need to have a closer look at why it broke and why the RD wasn't moving after it broke so there could be a bigger issue I need to resolve than cables. It doesn't really get used enough to warrant a Di2 swap but perhaps I could find a cheap new DA cable group and throw it on.

    Oh, any idea if the RD jockey wheels are supposed to move left to right on those 7800 deraillers? They seem to have some play in them.
