For Sale: Giant CADEX CFR2 frame

Road frame GIANT CADEX CFR2, 56 cm cc for sale.

Carbon fiber tubes with alloy lugs and fork. In general good condition, with few marks due to age and in need of a good clean. I believe it is 1993/1994. Includes bottom bracket and headset, though haven't tried them tbh (they seem to work correctly though).

£65 with collection in person in East or Central London.

Interested, does it come with the front mech plate? I think it's proprietary part so it's important.

Hello, no it does not, but I don't remember seeing those bolts coming out of the frame where the FD should go, so I suppose you could easily mount a clamp on derailleur. Maybe they manufactured a plain version as well? Let me double check later today when I get home and get back to you.

I just checked on the frame, there are indeed holes but they are flush with the frame. Nothing is protruding so you will be able to put a clamp on derailleur without problems. Let me know! Thanks.

I'm not interested without the plate, you'd most likely have to use a shim for a front derailleur clamp as the tubing is a unusual diameter I believe. 27.0 seatpost too

I have one of these and they use standard 27.2mm seat posts

My CFR1 takes 27.0, also have a couple of friends with these have the same diameter.

All early ones from around the same time as this, what year was yours?

Just to clarify, this is a CFR2 frame, not 1.

I know cfR-3 also had 27.0 as a friend has one

I see. Thanks for the info again, but this is not CFR3 either, it is the CFR2 model.

That's interesting, always assumed they all take 27.2. Mine is a CFR Expert, which I think is what Giant called the later CFR 1 from 97 or so. Not sure what year mine is from, date codes on original components indicate 97 but the seller thought it was later than that.
