Coffee Appreciation

Maybe an odd suggestion, but if we use a filter on our shower that's meant to remove chlorine, it would naturally be better for drinking than straight from the faucet, no?

Maybe ask the guys at Second Shot Coffee or Old Spike Roastery in Peckham? Both are using their companies to combat homelessness.

Any recommendations on a new kettle? I’ve got s pouring kettle but my normal one is on it’s way out.

Can't you use the pouring kettle on a hob?

Yes, it’s a bit of a faff when boiling for non coffee stuff though.

I don't know, there seemed to be a variety of opinion on there, based on what the manufacturer claimed they were using in the specific filter.
For what it's worth my wife claims her hair is in better shape following the installation of our shower head filter - we have pretty heavily chlorinated water; if I let stand a glass of water on the counter for awhile that bleachy odour will soon develop.

I'm about to re stock and wanted to try something different in addition to the usual fantastic espresso blend. I like the sound of the Hermosa, will this work well as espresso? Anything else you'd recommend?

Yes the Hermosa Premium makes lovely espresso, just dose it down a touch and grind a little finer than the espresso. The Shalaitu natural Ethiopia makes amazing espresso, especially good as a cortado.

Weekend after next - yes, I’m pretty sure I’m in, let me check the rota as we start opening sundays in December and I’m only in one day of the weekend. I’ll get back to you - would be great to meet you.

Yeah I was wondering where matisse had got to as well. I'm not often in the town centre but had a coffee from FCP a few weeks back, nice stuff.
