Hello folks, my clear out continues. I can't ride like I used to any more so I'm moving a lot of my stuff on in an N-1 manner. This one looks lovely and on the two occasions in the past 5 years since building it up that I've ridden it, it has been a blast. I was planning to keep it to do the odd MTB race on, the intention was to do the Brighton Big Dog this year, when it came down to it I wasn't up to it so it didn't even get it's tyres muddy. (How the mighty have fallen, my team mate and I won Retro Pairs there in 2011.
Enough waffle. It's a 1988 steel Saracen Tufftrax frame and fork. I had the frame and fork media blasted and powder coated sky blue then Waxoyled the inside of all the tubes. It was built up with new rims, headset chain, cassette etc. It has a Tange MTB frame tube sticker on it because I had one. I think I've ridden this twice on hardpack since being built, under 100 miles.
Has mudguard and rack mounts so you could comute or go touring/bikepacking on it.
I'm after £250 for it. Collected from Horsham (West Sussex) direct trains from Victoria or London Bridge. I'm happy to meet you at the station. If I have to I may be able to bring it down to Victoria or London Bridge station on a Friday or weekend if you cover my train fare (£15 last time I did it).
