• They're even saying things like "we need to make sure it's not one of the other ones...or a copy"
There are only NINE in the whole world...each numbered, funnily enough, ONE to NINE...and mine is number EIGHT...and the one you have in your police station is...NUMBER EIGHT....is it sinking in yet???

  • How can they be sure it isn't number infinity? Just a matter of perspective innit...

  • Are you actually depending on the average copper being numerate?

Hope this gets sorted soon :-(

  • It is the MET. They never got past "testing, 1, 2, testing".

  • For fucks sake! Dopey twats.

    Hope you can convince them.

  • Maybe the question to ask them is....

'If you aren't certain it's mine, who are you more certain it belongs to?'

Jesus though how frustrating. Maybe report the police to the police for stealing it from you.

  • don't worry, must be really really stressful but

its at the cop shop, you are the legal owner.

they WILL give it back to you, and it may even be a process but i would go there most days and inquire personally as chances are at least one person there will forcefully hurry up the process and see the ridiculousness

source: had a single speed nicked in '08 and it was kept at a police location, took 2 weeks of communication to get back and would have been even harder as i didn't have frame number and it was bought second hand.
