Phil Jones was given six injections by England medical staff so he could play against Germany, says his Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

Ridiculous but illustrative of how 1) how bad England's back four is and 2) how desperate England was to not lose a friendly to Germany.
And it's not the same as Wiggins, obviously. Wiggins took injectable asthma drugs to increase oxygen production. Contravening the rules, or "cheating" as some prefer to call it. Jones was administered painkillers and antiinflammatories. Certainly not performance-enhancing and now his injury is even worse. It's really fucking annoying. Just plain stupid team management, as usual.

He's no David Icke.

• #139264
What rules did Wiggins break exactly?
-
• #139265
Is misuse of a TUE not cheating? Genuine question.
-
• #139266
Who decides it was misused? Because he followed the rules laid down by the UCI, so in a doping sense, there is no case to answer. His team doctor applied for a TUE, the UCI reviewed it and granted it. I can’t see how this can be construed as cheating in any way, shape or form.

Could be wrong, but I don’t think trimacinolone plays a role in Oxygen production?

Sat in the fairly empty pub, wondering where the usual contingent of Arsenal fans are. And team news is that rose isn't in the matchday squad, isn't injured and is training with the young 'uns. Which is being interpreted by souness and redknapp as meaning he'll be sold in January. Despite him coming back from long term injury, despite Davies being fit and capable and there being no need to rush him back.
For some reason I'm not that fussed about the result, obviously I want us to put the boot into Arsenal's season but there's not that hunger from previous seasons where this was the be all and end all game.
Now if we lose, it's okay because the season is bigger than just this game, we've got bigger fish to fry, and I'm more interested in us winning to keep our title challenge going.. -

Pub has filled up now.
First five mins and Arsenal are up for this ready to make it a proper derby, high press, throwing themselves into the 50/50s and the fans baying for free kicks and fouls at every opportunity. -
• #139270
Are you watching the match in the away end of the home pub?
-
• #139271
It's a massive anti-inflammatory and gets you cut

Effra!
Fucking love moussa dembele!

There's something supremely awkward and unstable about sissoko, his first touch and passing is kimited, but he's a big unit and can shield the ball really well, and when he runs he puts the fear in defenders because of no other reason than he's going to run at and past you, scuffling the ball along the way..
Rode the Arsenal pressure. Ozil and Sanchez look up for it, and are starting to apply some of our own..
-
• #139274
Sanchez with a picture perfect tackle on Sanchez, gets pinged for it and Arsenal score from the free kick. Great header by mustafi but it was never a free kick.. just as we were taking control..

Fuck!
My equanimity about this result is being surely tested..
Is it time for proper football again yet?
