As someone who had to work in a corporate environment for years, on the other hand it's pretty fucking nice to do something else at work other than have 3 different managers tell you the same thing 5 different ways over 4 forms of electronic communication while not really being allowed to leave your desk. Instead of a 60 min presentation on the global financial impact of Q3 on billing rates, you get to go for a walk around the city, or sit on a stationary bike for 40 mins. In a corporate environment, things that are infrequently annoying and boring are often way better than the unceasingly tedious, negative and sour stress foisted on you from a range of similarly miserable middle managers.
