My manager lives in Lewes high st having moved from central London. He, and the family, love it. It’s only a few minutes by train to Brighton and there are great sports facilities locally. An active athletics club, hockey and football clubs too. Not sure if you have kids but his are under 8 and seem to be up to something almost every day. Plus you have the South Down at the front door with great walks and mountain biking. I’m pretty sure there is circuit racing at Preston Park in Brighton if that’s your thing and the roads around Lewes offer some great road riding.
Of course this comes at a price with houses costing a bit more...

Thanks Jaw, i have a little knowledge of Hastings as I used to visit as kid, maybe im looking through rose tinted speks,
hadn't thought of Lewes will look at it more 👍
